WTBC youth fellowship hymn competition
WTBC youth hymn competition was organized by Wokha Town Baptist Church (WTBC) youth ministry under the theme, “Master, the Tempest is Raging” on June 29, 2019 at the church premises.
Altogether seventeen (17) fellowships numbering 697 participants participated in the competition. GA/CC/PWD youth fellowship were the winner for the WTBC youth fellowship hymn competition 2019.
The programme started with an invocation offered by Elithung, Deacon, WTBC, welcome and keynote address delivered by Y. Chumbenthung Murry, Asst. pastor-cum-Youth Director, who explained the purpose of the hymn competition as well as the background of the hymn which was composed by Mary Ann Baker basing on Mark 4: 36-41 during her trying moment in her life at the tragic death of her younger brother. Meribeni Patton presented two special numbers, Bible reading by Lithungbeni Khuvung, offertory prayer by Ronsuo Ezung, mass prayer was led by Lothungbeni Odyuo, announcement and declaration of result by Zuchanthung Lotha, and closing prayer by Ajano Kikon, Assistant Woman leader, WTBC.
