Bailey Baptist College, Wokha

Bailey Baptist College is a home mission project of Wokha Town Baptist Church established in the year 1996. It was named after Dr. James Railey Bailey an American medical missionary who in 1927 established the first Baptist Mission Centre in Vankhosung under Wokha District.  It was established as a noble mission to provide secular education in Christian atmosphere to generation of students in the region.

The institution is a trust conceived by the members of the Wokha Town Baptist Church to impart quality education and knowledge so as to produce well trained disciplined and socially committed men and women. It was envisaged that the college would prepare the young minds intellectually who would become socially responsible citizen for the upliftment of the society.

Since its inception, the college has nurtured thousands of students who are now engaged in different occupations in both private and public sectors undertakings. The college with qualified and dynamic staff is all set and ready to face new challenges for the new generation of scholars.

The College is affiliated to the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) at the level of Higher Secondary and to the Nagaland University for the Degree Courses.  The College is built on 22 acres of land ans is situated nearly 5 Km away from Wokha Town. It is located in a serene environment conducive for an ideal academic environment.

The college administration highly acknowledges and appreciate the noble thoughts behind the creation of Bailey Baptist College and shall ever lift up to the dreams of the church.
