Highlights of WTBC Centenary Celebration on 28th December (Chodantsü) 2019
Morning Session:
The morning session was led by Mr. Zurenthung Humtsoe, Asst. Pastor, WTBC. The invocation prayer was pronounced by Rev. Ngangnan Longkumer, Pastor Ao Baptist Arogo, Wokha. Dr. Chumben Murry, Honourable MLA , Govt. of Nagaland, delivered special centennial greeting to the congregation. Special songs were presented by:
a) WTBC Centenary Choir,
b) Yikhum Baptist Ekhümkho Khenden and
c) Upper Subansiri Baptist Churches Association (USBCA), Arunachal Pradesh.
The Speaker for the morning session was Rev. S. Thungrio Khuvung, Pastor, WTBC. He spoke on the theme “Jisu Krista jo Echungren topvü lo senchumtapvüi” (Jesus Christ is the Lord of Reconciliation of all generation).
The morning session ended with soulful benedictory prayer from Rev. Yankey Patton, Ex-Pastor, WTBC.
Evening Session:
The evening session was led by Mrs. Mhalo Yanthan, Women Leader, WTBC. The invocation prayer was pronounced by Mr. Manglio Ngullie, Pastor, Pangti Baptist Church. Special centennial greeting was delivered by Orenthung Lotha, Deputy Commissioner, Wokha. Special songs were presented by:
a) WTBC Centenary Choir and
b) Choir members of WTBC ‘s 75 Years Jubilee.
The Speaker for the evening, Rev. Meribeny Humtsoe Williams, Missionary Pastor of Fountain Flow Christian Centre, San Diego, California, USA, spoke on the theme “Jisu Krista jo Echungren topvü lo mhayitokpvüi” ( Jesus Christ is the Lord of Blessings). She delivered a powerful message, and challenged the congregation to know and accept Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour and to let Christ be the Lord of our lives.
The evening session ended with benediction prayer pronounced by Rev. Achumo Kithan, Ex-Asso. Pastor, WTBC.
